OMNI edge for FIELD system monitors the lubrication and damage status of THK LM Guides in FANUC applications. A vibration sensor can be retrofit to existing LM rails easily. The sensor detects oscillations during specific movements which is triggered by FANUC CNC or robot controller. The detected oscillations are analysed into signals for lubrication and damage by unique algorithm in the THK amplifier. These lubrication and damage signals are plotted on the App dashboard within FIELD system.
FANUC application user, manufacturing line builder or its operator can set their own threshold for each status to generate alarm signals. Maximum 90 sensors per 1 FIELD BASE Pro will support the users near the manufacturing line for predictive maintenance. Furthermore, in combination with other FIELD system applications, currently under development, it will be possible to gain even greater benefits.
