Milano - At EMO Milano FANUC is demonstrating what the automated future looks like today. Visitors of the company’s stand (E02, Hall 7) can discover new and innovative products, technologies and solutions that help them improve competitive edge and profitability of their production. The show is running through 9 October.
FANUC’s Factory Automation area showcases both physical and virtual exhibits, including digital twin technology for efficient designing and using of machine tools. Some of the latest machining functions like orbital cutting, eccentric turning, servo learning oscillation and high-dynamic turning are also being demonstrated.

In addition, FANUC is presenting two new robot models at the show: the M-1000iA and the LR-10iA/10. With its 1000 kg payload and a maximum reach of 3253 mm the M-1000iA has a particularly wide range of motion in both vertical and longitudinal directions. The arm has flip-over capability which gives it an extended versatility across a wide range of handling applications. At EMO the M-1000iA is demonstrating the efficient and effective handling of a battery pack for an electric vehicle (EV).
The LR-10iA/10 is a new fully enclosed robot, which is not only lightweight and compact, but offers a wide working range and high resistance to dust and water. Providing a wrist payload of 10 kg, a maximum reach of 1101 mm and a weight of just 46 kg, the LR-10iA/10 can be installed in a variety of ways, including on the floor, ceiling or wall. The robot’s light weight also makes it ideal for mounting on mobile platforms.
Alongside the robots, FANUC will present an ROI (Return on Investment) calculator for robotisation. This web app features a dashboard that sets out the potential savings available in an easy-to-understand manner.
Regarding ROBOMACHINES FANUC is celebrating three European premieres at EMO: The ROBODRILL α-DiB-Plus series which will be available from the beginning of 2022 features innovations such as revised spindle variations, new control options, servo drives and mechanical improvements.
The ROBOSHOT α-SiB injection moulding machine is an advanced new series capable of metal injection moulding (MIM) as a production method for medical devices and surgical instruments.
Last, not least, the FANUC ROBOCUT α-CiC impresses with many new developments. For instance, FANUC has further enhanced machine rigidity by strengthening the mechanical structure. This is the basis for more precise machining and even higher repeatability than before.
Another highlight is FANUC’s Industrial IoT area demonstrating scalable IoT solutions that aim to increase manufacturing efficiency for customers. The company's EMO booth is featuring applications of 11 partner companies that are running on FANUC's Industrial IoT platform FIELD system.
Regarding service offerings, FANUC is showcasing its FAR (FANUC Assisted Reality) software tool which is being used for remote service and has helped numerous customers with fast and trouble-free service.
