Accuracy boost thanks to high-precision pitch error compensation function A special factory-calibrated compensation grid ensures pitch error correction over the entire X-Y table area - rather than a single central point - delivering a significant advantage in workpiece accuracy. New cutting technologies ROBOCUT α-CiC machines also feature new-generation discharge technology to achieve higher cutting speeds without wire breakage, particularly for rough cutting passes. Alternatively, users can opt to improve surface finish (to Ra 0.3 µm) without heavy compromises in speed. New compact design Featuring a more compact design than the previous-generation machine, users can load workpieces with dimensions up to 1050 x 775 x 400 mm in the X, Y and Z axis respectively, with a maximum weight of 1000 kg. Easy to install, maintain and repair It now takes 2 hours less on average to complete installation, while many maintenance options are far quicker. With the aim of reducing the already unlikely possibility of a breakdown, the FANUC iH Pro can highlight impending issues prior to failure, even providing manuals, a video or image that outlines how rectification can take place in-house to minimise downtime. Optimised user friendliness The new and improved user interface with its 15’’ widescreen, multi-touch LCD means that more intuitive operation is a further advancement, even for those relatively new to wire EDM. Easy wire management Reliable re-threading in the wire path To radically reduce machining times, ROBOCUT wire-cutting machine re-threads automatically in the wire path on workpieces up to 150 mm thick. Consistent wire tension FANUC’s unique twin servo wire feeding system accurately controls the wire tension and suppresses the wire vibration to provide high precision cutting. Up to 140 hrs unmanned machining With 60 hours of wire as standard, the 30 kg spool option and wire cutter more than double the period of continuous operation. Intelligent wire EDM software for rapid threading Automatic wire threading in just 10 seconds FANUC’s unique AWF3 Automatic Wire Feed threading technology provides fast, reliable automatic threading in just 10 seconds. To ensure reliable threading and re-threading, wires are cut electrically leaving a pointed end that is absolutely straight and burr-free, even on soft wire. Aided by a jet of water, threading the wire is both simple and very fast. Cutting-edge CNC Supporting up to 7 simultaneously controlled axes and controlling every aspect of the machine, the centrepiece of every FANUC ROBOCUT is the most reliable CNC in the world. Discharge device to provide high quality cutting The SF3 power supply produces both miniaturisation and a high frequency discharge pulse to improve surface roughness while maintaining the same cutting speed. iPulse3 Discharge Control Minimises the risk of wire breakages at high machining speeds, even under difficult conditions such as those involving wide nozzle distances or changing cutting heights. Faster wire EDM setups FANUC’s Setup Guidance function ensures ultra-fast setups and reduces downtime by flagging potential operator errors. ROBOCUT-LINKi remote monitoring Monitor up to 32 ROBOCUT wire-cutting machines in real time from a remote PC or handheld. Easy-to-set CORE STITCH function ROBOCUT α-CiC series’ CORE STITCH function allows you to better plan cutting jobs and extend unmanned machining hours. Stitch points are set directly on the wire-cutting machine’s CNC without any pre-programming. Used in combination with the re-threading in the wire path function, this is the ideal solution for long lasting unmanned machining and multi-workpiece cutting processes. When the job is done you simply knock out the cores manually without any risk to the machine. Customise your ROBOCUT Optimal workspace utilisation Depending on the model, ROBOCUT’s U and V axes can be traversed 90 mm beyond the table. This enables smaller workpieces to be machined without the need for expensive clamping devices. Fully CNC integrated 6. + 7. axes Not requiring an additional external control, these axes are programmed straight from the ROBOCUT CNC. Cost effective and easy to use, they offer seamless communication, reliability and increased productivity. Wire EDM micromachining Our thin-wire technology option enables you to reliably thread wire down to a diameter of 0.05 mm. Easy PCD tool programming A PCD allrounder, ROBOCUT ensures the crystals are not damaged during cutting and provides high-speed precision machining for PCD tool sharpening. Capable of cutting at a variety of different angles, it is ideal for sharpening bonded PCD blanks. ROBOCUT CCR table ROBOCUT is available with a CCR rotary table which can be indexed and simultaneously controlled. The ROBOCUT CCR is equipped with a FANUC servomotor and rotary encoder that offers maximum precision across a wide range of applications.
